Destination Wedding Planner: How to include your dog in your wedding day
Posted by johnna-patton on October 22nd, 2014
If you are thinking about including your best fury friend in your wedding plans, here are some tips for you:
The first thing to consider is the personality of your dog. If the event will be more stressful than fun for your dog, you may want to weigh in how important it is to include him or her.
If you have decided that Fido is in fact going to make an appearance, the next thing you want to do is make sure that dogs are allowed at your wedding venue.
Make sure you arrange for care before, during, and after the ceremony and reception, so a handler has specific responsibility for your dog at all times.
Make sure to have an exit plan if they can’t sit through the ceremony, or things don’t go as expected on the wedding day.
One last thing is you might consider wedding insurance, especially with a dog in attendance.
To many of us, our dogs are such an important part of our lives. To celebrate such a life changing event without our furbabies there to share in the love just wouldn’t seem right!

Curtis and Jamie’s wedding had a gorgeous and airy vibe inspired by the nature around them. The couple gave personalized packets of wild flower seeds as favors for their guests–we loved this idea! Jamie and Curtis got married at Ten Mile Station on top of peak 10 in Breckenridge, Colorado. The bride was gorgeous , but the best dog Blue stole the show in his his baby blue bow tie! Colorado Mountain Wedding Planner: Kylie & Chad

Kylie and Chad were one of those couples that you could just see the love. Even at the rehearsal the night before, they were beaming. The happy couple got married on top of a mountain in beautiful Keystone, Colorado. Close friends and family traveled mainly from the midwest to see these two get married. The two gondolas up did not disappoint, I’m sure. My ultimate favorite part of this wedding? When they got on stage with the band Deja Blu. They were having a blast! Thank you Chris Humphreys Photography for these awesome photos!
