Colorado Wedding Planner: Kara and Mike
Posted by johnna-patton on December 17th, 2014
Kara and Mike got married at Timber Ridge, on top of North Peak in Keystone, Colorado. They knew that most of their guests would be coming from out of state and they wanted to give them a true Rocky Mountain experience! Kara and Mike were all about the details. They took their inspiration from the ski area itself, building a mini gondola that doubled as escort cards. Amazing! Thank you Lisa McKendry of Story Lens Photography for sharing these beautiful photos!

Alpenglow Stube Wedding Planner: Carrie & Mike
Posted by elizabeth waldmann on December 13th, 2014
This wedding was such a fabulous family affair. Carrie and Mike were married on top of a mountain in Keystone, Colorado. The day was gorgeous and everyone was full of smiles. After the ceremony at the Keystone Keytop Overlook, guests were swept away in a gondola to the Alpenglow Stube for the reception. The couple incorporated so many personal touches. For example instead of table numbers they had the names of some of their favorite bands. Love! A big thank you to Becky at Black Forest Photo for these awesome photos!
Destination Wedding Planner: Tips for planning a Colorado winter wedding
Posted by johnna-patton on December 7th, 2014
We don’t care if the wind has ruined our freshly blow- dried tresses or we’ve stood in a puddle for the third time this week. We’re so excited that winter is upon us! It’s the most romantic time of year filled with hot drinks, cozy evenings, tasty treats and festive decor. And such a special season to have a wedding! We’re definitely believers that a winter wedding can be just as intricate and gorgeous as a summertime fete! With the right elements, your winter wedding will be a wonderland!
Match your invitations to the climate
Treat your guests to a carmel apple bar
Or a hot chocolate bar
Use pinecones and succulents in your flower arrangements
Scatter candles everywhere
Send guests home with cup cozies
Or gloves
Or hot cocoa
And thank your wedding party with cozy blankets
