Breckenridge Wedding Planner: Tips
Posted by elizabeth waldmann on July 31st, 2013
A while ago I blogged about how to keep your heals from sinking into the mountain terrain during your wedding. At the wedding I recently planned, I saw this brilliant idea! Get rid of the heals all together and wear cowgirl boots. They are perfect for the uneven mountain ground and also have a wild west feeling. Your bridesmaids will be able to dance the night away in comfort. Thank you Four Cornered Photography for this awesome photo!
Yummy Deviled Eggs
Posted by elizabeth waldmann on July 29th, 2013
We here at Distinctive Mountain Events have a passion for…deviled eggs. I know, you thought we would say something like decorations or a great light setup. Yes, those things are amazing but what really gets us is a great deviled egg. We found this healthy spin on one of our favorite workout websites BodyRock and it is awesome! The step by step directions are below so try it out and let us know what you think, Cheers!
Ingredients:
6 hard boiled eggs, 6 teaspoons of plain yogurt, 2 teaspoons of dijon mustard, 2 teaspoons of finely chopped onion, 2 tablespoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of paprika, chilli powder.
Take the eggs out of their shells and cut them in half.
By the way, eggs play an important role in well balanced healthy diet for numerous health benefits. The egg whites are also an amazing source of protein and one egg contains only 70 calories.
Take the yolks out and put them into a bowl.
Remember that most of the key nutrients including half of the eggs protein are found in egg yolk so if you don’t eat the egg yolks you are basically missing out on many of the egg’s nutritional benefits.
Crumble the yolks with a fork.
Add the yogurt and mustard to the yolk.
Notice that there is no mayo in this recipe. I am using plain yogurt instead.
Add the onion as well and move it around a little to mix the ingredients.
Did you know that onions can improve your lung function and therefore they are great for astmatics? Onions in your diet will also protect you from certain infections, cancers, and cardiovascular disease.
Squeeze about 2 tablespoons of honey out of the honey bear right over the mixture.
Yum, I love honey! It’s an energy booster because it’s a natural sources of carbs and it’s known for preventing fatigue during exercise. Everyone should include honey into their diet to support their wedding planning 😉
Add the paprika and move the egg yolks carefully around.
Paprika is also a part of overall healthy diet because it’s high in vitamin C and may help in digestion, improve blood circulation, and regulate blood pressure.
Sprinkle some chilli powder over the top – it’s up to you how spicy you wanted to be. Chilli has all kinds of health benefits and may help you to boost your immunity and improve your cardiovascular system. Eating chilli can be also beneficial in weight loss because the heat you feel after eating chilli takes energy and calories.
Take a teaspoon and fill the hard boiled egg whites with the mixture. Sprinkle the top of each egg with paprika, serve and enjoy!

Summer Solstice–longest day of the year, what to do? What to do? I’ve got it–get married! That is exactly what Pete and Cheri did this June. The ceremony was right on the river and the reception was at the beautiful Silverthorne Pavilion in Silvethorne, Colorado. Blue skies and a super fun crew made this the perfect way to spend the summer solstice! After dark we were all treated to the eclectic ska/country band the Love Brothers. What a day! Thank you Chelsey Pas from Friends and Lovers photography for sharing these amazing images.

Breckenridge Wedding Planner: Crystal & Sean

Crystal and Sean had a beautiful ceremony on Peak 10 in Breckenridge, Colorado this summer, but it was their wedding party that stole the show! Their wedding party consisted of Embry-a Wheaton Terrier with personality to spare. The event was incredibly unique and personal. From Sean’s orange Chuck Taylors to the high energy sparkler send off, the evening will go down in the books as too much fun! A huge thank you to Joe Kusamoto of Joe Kusamoto photography for capturing all of these amazing images.
