Colorado Wedding Planner: Jillian and Brady’s Breckenridge Wedding
Posted by johnna-patton on November 24th, 2014
Jill and Brady are a beautiful couple–Inside and Out! They really had fun with their wedding party taking photos all over Breckenridge. My personal favorite was the wedding party spanning (and briefly closing) Main Street Breckenridge! Settle in for a BUNCH of amazing photos! A huge thank you to Trig and Char of Trystan Photography who made this all possible!
“Thank you so, so, so very much for the perfect wedding weekend! I don’t know what I/we would have done without you! You were fabulous to work with from day 1 and you helped make my vision become a reality!”

Colorado Wedding Planner: Fall Photo Shoot
Posted by johnna-patton on November 13th, 2014
Fall in the Rocky Mountain is an epic event! Yes, I said epic 🙂 Looking out at my snow covered deck this morning has inspired me to post these stunning photos from a shoot that we styled with some wedding industry friends this last September. We had a lot of help on this project! Michelle DeVries of IN Photography not only shot these lovely photos but found this perfect mountain oasis. Next, we recruited Steph Smith owner of Decadent Decor to bring all of the fabulous furniture, dishes and well, everything decor. What would a wedding shoot be without sweet treats? Katy Pierson from Sugar was kind enough to supply all of the delicious deserts! P.S. yes we ate them! This was a glorious fall day full of creativity and teamwork–Thank you Ladies! Enjoy!
Colorado Wedding Planner: Jamie & Brian
Posted by elizabeth waldmann on November 4th, 2014
Like most weddings this summer in Colorado, Jamie & Brian had their share of sprinkles. I was so proud of Jamie when she took the news of rain, in stride. She left the decisions up to her wedding coordinators, Johnna and myself. As luck would have it the rain started right at 5 so instead of starting the ceremony, we started the cocktail hour. Everyone enjoyed a glass of champagne and as soon as we saw a break in the clouds, we asked guests to take their seats and Jamie & Brian were married outside. Phew! From that point on it was smooth sailing. With doing the cocktail hour first, we were able to keep on track with the timeline and not even cut into dancing. Yay!! Everyone had such a great night and from the photos from Rachel Olsen of Rachel Olsen Photography you can see exactly that! Thank you Jamie & Brian for choosing Distinctive Mountain Events to be a part of your big day!
