Breckenridge Wedding Planner Plans Her Wedding!
Posted by elizabeth waldmann on February 27th, 2014
Wedding Goals and Direction
When thinking about what direction I wanted our wedding to go in, I started by thinking about what I dislike most about weddings. There is just so much I love about weddings I thought this would be an easier route. Wes and I are huge outdoor people and try to be mindful of the environment in everything we do. We try to buy local whenever possible and always recycle. Why not carry these same thoughts over to our wedding. I realize it’s part of the job but being a wedding planner I unfortunately see so much waste at the end of a wedding. During the process of planning our wedding, I am going to try and be as gentle to the environment as I can and still pull off an amazing wedding. I am going to share these ideas in my upcoming blog posts so keep a look out!
Keeping in mind one or more goals for your wedding will help you pull off a wedding of your dreams. So remember, it’s your wedding day so make it yours.
Keystone Wedding Planner: Jessica & Jeff
Posted by elizabeth waldmann on February 22nd, 2014
Jessica and Jeff are the ideal clients. Not only were they very easy to work with, but also you could see the genuine true love they have for each other. Some would say they are not the most likely couple. He is 6’4 and she is about 5’0. Seeing them together was such a great experience because he was so gentle with her and she was a fist-pumping fireball. Her brother married the happy couple at the beautiful wedding venue, Timber Ridge in Keystone, Colorado. A huge thank you to Jessica, Jeff and both families for allowing Distinctive Mountain Events to be your wedding planners for your big day! Alison Vagini of Vagini Photography captured all of these amazing photographs. Enjoy!
Recycled/Green Wedding Details: Pages as a Table Runner
Posted by elizabeth waldmann on February 15th, 2014
To add interest to a wedding table, instead of a traditional table runner, you can construct a runner made entirely out of pages of books. Rachael of Rachael Grace Photography came up with this idea and I absolutely love it! You can go to the Goodwill and find books or if you have some old ones lying around the house that haven’t been read in a very long time and you can give them new life and join in the wedding day fun!
Breckenridge Wedding Planner: Kasey and Drew
Posted by johnna-patton on February 14th, 2014
Kasey and Drew got married on top of North Peak in Keystone, Colorado. The day started out rainy but Kasey and Drew never gave up! By 5:30pm we were all watching Drew watch Kasey walk down the aisle on the deck of Timber Ridge! The guests all had blankets around their shoulders and smiles on their faces. The skies cleared up and the night was magic! A huge thank you to Trig and Char of Trystan Photography for their perseverance to get these amazing photos!

Valentine’s Day Tips from a Breckenridge Wedding Planner
Posted by johnna-patton on February 7th, 2014
With Valentines Day right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to put together a list of thoughtful ideas you can do for your sweetie.
Chef Made Dinner at Home: Instead of going out to eat a meal, hire a personal chef to cook up both of your favorite dishes.
Whiskey Tasting: Take a tour of a distillery and spend your day tasting different whiskies.
Take a Dance Class: This valentines day book a dance session (think tango, salsa, cha cha) with a local dance studio and then practice your moves at home.
Give Each Other a Massage.
Bake Together: Spend valentines day baking a cake or a batch of your favorite cookies. Bonus: Dessert!
Reenact Your First Date: Go to the same place, eat the same food and do the same things that first sparked your romance!
Get Physical: Strap on your cross country skis and throw a bottle of wine in your pack and have a winter picnic.
Get a Room: Changing your surroundings can give an automatic boost to your love life!
I hope you find these ideas helpful. Have a great Valentines Day!
