Colorado wedding planner: A Colorado 420 Wedding

With the sale of marijuana for recreational use now legal in Colorado, pot and its various paraphernalia are becoming visible at weddings in my state. Brides and grooms, even ones who say they don’t partake often but want to be hospitable, are giving guests choices that are much different than the standard merlot or chardonnay. Now, the choice could be Durbin Poison or Grape Ape.
In honor of 420 I am excited to write about the 420 wedding we planned last summer! I knew from the first meeting that Jenny Finkel and Ryan Mason were not interested in the typical Colorado mountain wedding. Their vision was less Martha Stewart and more High Times. The couple met years before at the Burning Man Festival in Black Rock Desert, Nevada. Ryan and Jenny drove a 1 ton multi colored tent called the “Shady Waffle” from San Francisco to Colorado. The Shady Waffle was home to a weed bar tended by two amazing budtenders, an oxygen bar, a liquor bar and a lounge. So fun! The budtenders were very knowledgeable and they walked the guests through the whole experience. Happy 420!
