During the wedding season last summer, I took the opportunity to save some decorations that normally would have gone in the trash. I know this may sound bizarre but I thought it was a great chance to give second life to a normally single used decoration. When Wes and I began our wedding planning journey, I knew I wanted to include these items. Whether it was burlap runners or wooden pedestals, I was very happy to be reusing these items!
Another way we kept from having decorations that are single use is by saving our San Pellegrino and Espolon bottles. Two of my favorite liquids! Mineral water and tequila! These bottles normally would end up in our recycling. Instead, I removed the labels, tied a piece of jute around the neck and filled the bottle with a flower. After the wedding, the bottles will simply be placed in the recycling. Stay tuned for the beautiful result!

A couple weeks ago, I posted a blog about how to allow your bridesmaids to choose their own dress and still look cohesive. This idea goes right along with our recycled/green wedding detail series. I was looking through past wedding photographs from Rachael Grace Photography and found this great concept come to fruition. You have all of your ladies choose a dress, same color, from the same designer. After that, they choose their statement jewelry piece or shoes in a certain color. The outcome is very unique, cohesive and not to mention, gorgeous!

Reclaimed wood can be used in many ways during your wedding. It can enhance the feel and add a touch of rustic charm. Being Breckenridge wedding planners we have seen some of the best ideas for reclaimed wood. When speaking with Rachael Grace Photography about green wedding ideas, we knew that we had to include it. The wood can be painted to inform your guests where the ceremony and reception are. A log can also be cut width wise and makes a great centerpiece stand on your wedding tables. Beautiful!

This is a look I love. When all the bridesmaids wear something different and when they come together, they all correspond with each other. It translates into something so beautiful. When considering what is disregarded after a wedding, one time use bridesmaid’s dresses came to mind. A bride will choose one dress that all of her bridesmaids will wear to look cohesive. Now there are other great ways to have your bridesmaid choose a dress to fit their personal style and still look cohesive. One way is to give a general color and have all of your ladies choose a dress in that color scheme. Give them all the same bouquet and have that tie the look together. Another way is to have all of your bridesmaids choose from a certain dress designer that has many different styles. Assign the color but they can pick what best fits their body. Thank you Rachael Grace Photography for these amazing photos!
