Colorado Wedding Planner: Liz & Stew

Liz and Stew…and their entire crew. Who’s their crew? Animals. I wish I could begin to remember just how many animals that have in their lives but I can tell you this. It’s a lot. Two of which were actually included in their ceremony. Liz and Stew were married on the beautiful Dercum Mountain. Not always one of the easiest to get to…one gondola and over mountain terrain…but it’s one of my faves! Check out that view! After the ceremony guests were whisked away by another gondola to the reception site, The Alpenglow Stube. The wildflower theme was executed by Bloom Flower Shop. Gorgeous! Colorado Wedding Planner: Rachael & Jay

Rachael and Jay had a Rocky Mountain wedding at Timber Ridge on top of North Peak in Keystone, Colorado. As a Colorado wedding planner I work with many different personalities each wedding season. I have to say Rachael and Jay were pure joy! These two were crazy about each other and had such a great sense of humor I just have to share. I love it when a couple can inject humor into their wedding day. Exhibit A: See below for a photo of their wedding day favors. Exhibit B: Jay and Rachael’s family had a surprise video for Rachael. Apparently Rachel tried out for the dive team in high school and had a video of her not so stellar performance. Rachel’s sister not only showed the video at the wedding–Jay and Rachel’s entire family went to the same pool and shot a video of each of them mimicking her dive. It’s true! The whole room was in tears. A huge thank you to IN Phtotography for capturing all of the fun that day.
Colorado Wedding Planner: Kelsey & Erin

Kelsey & Erin. It is hard to find words to describe this wedding but if I had to pick two they would be:
- Sophisticated
- Elegant
From the gorgeous lace on Kelsey’s gown to the gold accents of all the tablescapes. To say it was stunning is an understatement. The day was gorgeous and these two had their ceremony on Anticipation Run in Keystone Colorado. The wedding party walked into the music from Michael Lancaster. After the nuptials guests continued up to Timber Ridge for the reception. They were greeted by the thoughtful florals of Ladybird Poppy. I mean, check out that mantle! So much lush, green garland. Following dinner the party was on. Jay at Standing Room Only kept the tunes going all night. Thank you to Jenna Noelle Photography for capturing and sharing the photos below!
Keystone Wedding Planner: Julie & Tyler

Julie and Tyler. Such amazing people! We did a ‘Day of’ plan for them at the Keystone Ranch in Keystone Colorado and man, I wish we had been working together from the beginning. Being around these two for about 5 days just wasn’t enough!
Like so many weddings this past summer, we had the rain to contend with. I had been diligently watching the weather satellite from the moment I arrived at the Keystone Ranch. Thankfully they have an amazing system because they need to keep their golfers safe from lightning. After much time going back and forth about whether or not to go outside for the ceremony, I looked at Julie and asked her when you look back, would you be happier wet and outside or dry and inside. We have a window of time that might stay dry if we go now. She said, “let’s go outside!” That second the Keystone Ranch staff ran outside with their towels, dried chairs and we started the ceremony. We had gotten through the entire processional and I had just sent down Julie and her dad. Of course, it started raining. At that point, there was no turning back. So Julie did what makes any wedding planner proud, she kicked off her shoes and headed towards her awaiting groom. I’m so happy she made the decision to go outside because at the end of her wedding she came up to me and said “you know what my favorite part of today was? Getting married in the rain” Urg! I still get chills thinking about it and writing about it now. It goes down as one of my favorite wedding moments. And those photos! Breckenridge Wedding Planner: Darienne and Charlie

We met Darienne and Charlie for coffee in Breckenridge and six months later they were married at Ten Mile Station. Darienne had an etheral beauty and a calm confidence about her and Charlie was the life of the party. The day was filled with laughs! Charlie is in the entertainment industry so he brought a DJ and emence from New York City and I have to say that I have never been SO entertained! Looking at Darienne and Charlie that day felt like you were watching two best friends embarking on a new adventure. I must say a highlight for me was when the officiant had forgotten to take the security tag off of his suit jacket. He absolutely owned It! Petal and Bean did an amazing job making the room pop with color and Meigan Canfield Photography captured every moment of the day!
