Colorado Wedding Planner: Breckenridge Welcome Party
Posted by johnna-patton on December 6th, 2017
As wedding planners in the Colorado Rocky Mountains we not only plan destination weddings but all of the events that go with them i.e. brunches, bridal lunches, rehearsal dinners and welcome parties. Planning this welcome party with mother of the groom Mary Gray was an absolute blast! Mary was fun, creative, and open to everything. Her vision was a laid back, casual party heavy on Colorado flavor. We brightened up the Carter Park Pavilion with yellow and white checked linens from Colorado Tents and Events and vibrant florals from Petal and Bean. The menu was BBQ from Moe’s Original Bar B Que and beer served out of the back of a vintage Ford Model T truck. So cute! Playing guitar and singing, Drew Reges kept the party lively as Timothy Faust of Timothy Faust Photography caught it all on film!
Colorado Wedding Planner: Liz & Stew

Liz and Stew…and their entire crew. Who’s their crew? Animals. I wish I could begin to remember just how many animals that have in their lives but I can tell you this. It’s a lot. Two of which were actually included in their ceremony. Liz and Stew were married on the beautiful Dercum Mountain. Not always one of the easiest to get to…one gondola and over mountain terrain…but it’s one of my faves! Check out that view! After the ceremony guests were whisked away by another gondola to the reception site, The Alpenglow Stube. The wildflower theme was executed by Bloom Flower Shop. Gorgeous! A big shout out to Joe Kusumoto Photography for these amazing photos!
Colorado Wedding Planner: Kelsey & Erin

Kelsey & Erin. It is hard to find words to describe this wedding but if I had to pick two they would be:
- Sophisticated
- Elegant
From the gorgeous lace on Kelsey’s gown to the gold accents of all the tablescapes. To say it was stunning is an understatement. The day was gorgeous and these two had their ceremony on Anticipation Run in Keystone Colorado. The wedding party walked into the music from Michael Lancaster. After the nuptials guests continued up to Timber Ridge for the reception. They were greeted by the thoughtful florals of Ladybird Poppy. I mean, check out that mantle! So much lush, green garland. Following dinner the party was on. Jay at Standing Room Only kept the tunes going all night. Thank you to Jenna Noelle Photography for capturing and sharing the photos below!
Colorado Wedding Planner: Rachael & Zach

Such a gorgeous day and an even more gorgeous couple! Rachael and Zach were married on Anticipation Run in Keystone, Colorado. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails on the deck at Timber Ridge. They also listened to the amazing string duo, Suite Talk. The reception followed with Suite Talk trading their strings for a DJ board. Everyone partied until the end of the night. A huge thank you to Joe Friend Photography for sharing the photos below! Also, I have to mention, the amazing florals are by Ladybird Poppy. My favorite flower being the Proteas (that white spiky flower in the first image). Did you know that it represents change and hope? I think it’s perfect for a wedding!
Keystone Wedding Planner: Jamie & Doug

Jamie and Doug. These two lovebirds were married this last summer on Anticipation Run outside of Timber Ridge in Keystone, Colorado. You could not ask for a better day! The wedding ceremony went off without a hitch. Fleur de Liz provided the gorgeous floral arrangements. I think there is so much to be said about doing simple/elegant decorations and letting that venue speak for itself. Jay at Standing Room Only had everyone dancing up until the couple’s fun grand exit. Their friends and family made a tunnel for them to run through and onto the gondola to start their life together as husband and wife. Thank you Jamie and Doug for choosing Distinctive Mountain Events for their wedding planners! And a huge shout out to Joe Kusumoto Photography for sharing these amazing photos!
